Introducing the 2011 Sterling Silver Snowflake
by Mary Eckels of Gusterman Silversmiths

This wonderful festive annual tradition began in 1978 when Mary Eckels designed the first snowflake. Her intention was to create something special that would be a limited production offered at a reasonable price for her clients.

These numbered snowflakes, now in their 33rd year, can be worn as a pendant or adorned on the family’s holiday tree. There are only one hundred numbered snowflakes available each year and a few artist proofs. Numbered snowflakes are typically reserved for the previous year's purchaser. There is a waiting list for the numbered productions and artists proofs are available on a first come, first served basis. They go on sale the day after Thanksgiving.

Several snowflakes from previous years remain available, mostly as artists proofs. Check back soon for an updated page with pictures and availability.
